Always the Bridesmaid...

The St. Louis Blues have clinched a playoff spot with their 4-1 win today over Nashville.  It means they will be making their 25th consecutive playoff appearance, the longest such (active?) streak in professional sports.  That's the good news.  The bad news is that, despite that streak, they have yet to win a Stanley Cup Title in their franchise existence (since 1967).  I love the Stanley Cup playoffs and will be cheering the Blues on as always, but it's hard to get too excited, yet.  Stll they played well early in the season and have played well these last couple of weeks, so who knows.  Regradless of what happens in tomorrow's games they will play the opening round series against the San Jose Sharks.
